Kline, the emerging sensation on Sainte-Catherine, describes itself as "raw": concrete, wooden tables, a counter where dishes are partially prepared, and a crowded terrace in fine weather. The decor hits the spot in the neighborhood. What about the plate? A host of small dishes in various categories, to share or not, with a strong emphasis on plant-based, local and seasonal ingredients. The presentation is just as minimalist but attractive. Melt-in-the-mouth leeks cooked in miso, Brussels sprouts with white beer butter, just crunchy. A real delight.
