SANT'ANA PALACE

This is the seat of the president of the regional government. The palace is a^19th-century neoclassical building designed by an English architect. Inside are paintings recounting the illustrious visit of King Dom Carlos and Queen Dona Amélia in 1901, as well as a collection of earthenware. If you can't admire them - the building is closed to the public (which is a shame, but understandable!) - you can take a stroll in the park, to smell and contemplate the beautiful flowers and exotic trees.
