This Limassol suburb stretches along the Amathos river, between the artificial lake of Germasogia (110 ha) and the coast (Dasoudi and Santa Barbara beaches). The seafront has been ravaged by apartment blocks and tourist complexes. Inland, the town center, once a stronghold of the Knights Templar, boasts the pretty Greek Orthodox chapel of Agia Christini. It dates back to the 12th century and houses a small ecclesiastical museum.
