Sam Vella, a Maltese, decided in 1920 to open this restaurant after working seven years in hotels in San Francisco. At the very beginning it is only a tent on Tiburon Beach where it sells sandwiches. Today, Sam's Café is known to everyone and some of the San-Franciscans are queuing up so that they can enjoy seafood from the day, facing the ocean. The atmosphere is very warm and the seafood, the speciality of the house, are excellent. Moreover, what does not spoil anything, prices are not exorbitant. Fine wine list.

One of the cheapest restaurants in Tiburon. Soups, salads, pastas and pizzas... Here you can try the Thai style pizza or the shrimp and pesto pizza. Beware, there is also the much disputed Hawaiian pineapple pizza, the source of endless debate within the pizza community. You can also create your own pizza. Regular movie screenings are held here, sometimes even in 3D. But you can also take your order and enjoy it on a bench facing the ocean.

At the beginning of the main street, you can come and have a bite to eat in this little unpretentious café-restaurant with reasonable prices for this city that can sometimes scare people away because of its high prices. Nice selection of Italian sandwiches, coffees of all kinds, starting with the café frappé which is very popular here, as well as a few smoothies that you can't say no to, especially in good weather. Finally, at Caffe Acri, you'll find regulars engaged in frenzied bridge games. A very nice address.
