The Yotel, housed in a historic hotel that survived the 1906 earthquake, has very small first-rate rooms of ultra-modern design, with changing lights, sockets everywhere, a giant screen to which you can connect your phone... On the other hand, the toilets are open, which can quickly become stuffy, and the prices are ultimately very high for the space of the rooms and especially the neighborhood, between the Tenderloin and Civic Center, haunted by junkies.

No bar or restaurant or shop to get drinks/snacks. Not the safest location, no garage, closest one is a few blocks over and not the best walk at night. The free breakfast is just cereal, croissants, yogurt and coffee from a machine. Staff seems very bothered by their work, didn't really like asking anyone for help. Rooms are tiny, but you know that when booking. They do have phone booths, a good gym and bikes to borrow in the hotel.
