When we arrived we were told to sign up on the waitlist… there was no one on it so we should’ve just gotten seated quickly.. When we sat down, we had to wait a while for someone to take our order. It was pretty busy so I understand that it would take some time. The customer service was ok, nothing special. They should prioritize customer service bc it wasn’t the best. The food arrived in a timely manner and the ramen was pretty good but I wish there was more noodles in it, it was less than other ramen places..

Central location in Japan town with such a promising menu! Tanuki, galbi jim ramen all sound so good, but it isn’t quite there with execution. The soft boiled eggs were cold and had egg shell fragments, the rib meat was also cooked and chewy, the fat hadn’t been rendered out yet. Such a friendly and energetic team, great music and chill decour, hoping to stop by next time and the team is a bit more ready to execute.

Our dining experience was underwhelming. We ordered three servings of ramen, and all came with cold eggs that had a distinct chemical taste, particularly the yolks. The pork in the ramen was overly salty and seemed less than fresh, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the service was average at best, but what made us uncomfortable was the almost enforced tipping policy. The server presented the POS machine with a minimum tip option of 20%, which felt quite pushy and inappropriate given the overall experience.

Don't know what happened after pandemic but I remember there was always a 1 hour wait line. It was Friday night and the restaurant was practically empty. We ordered today fried chicken (Osaka style) that was ok, and a Spicy ramen (the spice aside so we could add as much as we like). They served the wrong ramen (we notice after we finished) and the broth was very spicy (I asked the waitress and she said it wasn't spicy), chashu was not good. Totally ruined the experience, it's a shame. We loved this place.

I ordered ramen with beef rib, noodle was one of those factory made disgusting noodle, beef rib was from the refrigerator, cold…how could they charge $23 for that bowl of soup with little to eat?

Not recommended at all.

I just love this place. I always get the Wantan ramen. The chicken must be slow roasted or something because it is just falling apart. So delicious. Best broth I’ve had.

Vegan ramen was a total disappointment. Had no tofu or protein at all and when I asked, they brought me a 2x2 flat piece of tofu skin. This is not a meal. The edamame garlic sauce was also just pure sugar.

I had vegan ramen, it had french fries and canned corn in it. I couldn’t even eat half of it. Can’t comment on other food but vegan ramen is horrible. It costs $18 as of february 2024. Won’t be coming back.

Went here with a party of 6, where we got charged an extra fee for having 6 or more people. The food was alright, I've had better.. the ramen was $18.. when playing the book they did not notify me that the tip was already added to the bill, where the amount i was charged went from $40 to $55.. I paid for myself and one other and got scammed (in my opinion).

3.5 stars. We never get the ramen anymore. The ramen dishes we've tried are just not that good. This is our tapas spots. The chicken nanban used to be top-notch. It's not as good now, but it's hard to find and scratches the itch. It always feels tense here, so we wrap up our meals quickly.

Quite environment on second floor. You can specify how hard or soft the noddles are cooked.

The chicken is so nice. The noodles are chewy, but the soup is a bit cold. Well, you have to pay extra if you want more spicy. However, the only super drawback is the helper pour back the leftover water from the guest's cup back to the water pitcher when they clean up the table. I have a big doubt about the cleanliness of the water pitcher after all.

Been visiting this joint for years for good ramen near Japantown. To be fair, I have not tried the other ramen houses within the japantown complex itself but this place compares favorably with similar eateries on the peninsula. On my most recent visit in Dec 2023 the quality of the food seemed to have gone down a little from years before. Nevertheless the ramen broth is flavorful, the chashu and stewed pork are soft and flavorful and the egg well done (firm outside and soft inside). The ramen texture is not great. Appetizers are fine - portions are big but the quality is so-so. We had the fries with cheese, geso karaage and house salad. Extensive menu beyond ramen.

Went here because it's my son's favorite Ramen house, but I found just ok. Located in the heart of J town, I'd imagine it gets a lot of traffic.

My son ordered gluten free noodles, but they messed it up and he had to wait until it was resolved. I thought my bowl was extra tasty and sadly I was right for the wrong reason. After we finished and I was driving away, I got hit with an MSG rush starting in my lower spine up my back into my head. Leaving a headache for about an hour.

Warning.... if you're sensitive to MSG, order something without the broth or just don't drink it : )

My curry katsu was really good! The staff was friendly and prompt and treated our service dog with kindness, as well.

Shoyu broth simply did not taste like it—very different from other Shoyu-based broths I have tasted. Meat was extremely minimal. Decor was all over the place: mix of anime stuff, random skateboard, etc… just hodgepodge of anything to attract teenagers?? No clue. On top of all this: not cool that the server was hovering all over me like some sort of a helicopter to see how much tip I was giving. I almost did not leave any (fyi I did leave more than minimal tip). Very disappointed in every aspect. Does not recommend.

The yamada ramen was super good

It was a unique place with unique flavors. Sake was delicious. I was the last one to leave. Not bad but I guess it's not my type of cuisine. I had the gluten free ramen. Meat was a bit tough. And just had some odd flavors.
