Museum space gathering all the elements of the history of the Monastier.
All the elements of the history of Le Monastier are gathered in this museum space. Located in the old convent, the museum is largely devoted to the Benedictine monks and the history of the abbey. We also meet the great characters who have left their mark on the Monastier (Robert Louis Stevenson, Laurent Eynac, St. Francis Regis) as well as the lace makers and the beates. You can relive the history of the Transcévenole, a train line that was never finished, and the construction of the fantastic Recoumène viaduct, which you should also visit.
