Don't miss the view of Manhattan, the UN and the Chrysler Building from the banks of the East River south of Long Island City, from Gantry Plaza State Park. In addition to its exceptional panoramic view, this park is a true haven of tranquility. You come to enjoy its long walk by the water, picnic on its lawns, rest on its deckchairs... Not to be missed: the Pepsi-Cola sign, a relic from the time when the area housed a bottling plant for the famous soft drink, which closed in 1999.
