To access the bar of this speakeasy, you must first enter the L'Ange Noir café, which looks like any retro coffee shop in Bushwick and Williamsburg. Hellphone is behind... the phone booth. Once the door is open, it is a completely different place, a bar with dimmed light that plays on its secret side. The place is quiet, romantic, and offers an excellent selection of cocktails and, on some evenings, live music. Hellphone also offers some homemade aperitifs and a nice menu of sweet or savoury pancakes.
