CARL SCHURZ PARK

Very pleasant and busy park in a peaceful haven facing Queens, home to the official residence of the Mayor of New York
Opposite Queens, along the East River, this long park is home to Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the Mayor of New York. This pleasant, little-known park is frequented mainly by Upper East Side residents, who are careful not to spill the beans. It's a haven of peace, ideal for a stroll that lets you forget time and the hustle and bustle of the city for a while... Some scenes from Spike Lee's film The 25th Hour (2002), starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Edward Norton, were shot here.
