An ice rink open in winter, just north of the park, near Harlem Meer Basin. Of the two ice rinks in Central Park (there is also the Wollman Rink in the south, well known to tourists and always black), this one has our preference because it is mainly frequented by New Yorkers, couples in love and parents who accompany their children on weekends. In addition to being not very touristy, this rink has the advantage of being transformed into a swimming pool in summer! Access is then free of charge, as are all public swimming pools in the city.
