Anish Kapoor's fake twin of the famous Chicago landmark.
The Bean (or Cloud Gate), Chicago's famous landmark, now has a false twin in Tribeca: the New York version, also by Anish Kapoor, is less imposing and more domed in shape (you can't pass under the structure, unlike the Chicago Bean ). But, like the original, the surrounding buildings are reflected as if in a distorting mirror. The sculpture took up residence in February 2023 at the foot of Tribeca's most emblematic building, 56 Leonard Street, also known as the Jenga Tower because of its deconstructivist style.
