Less than 20 km southeast of Priego, on the border between the provinces of Cordoba and Granada, at the flanks of the Sierra de Albayate, the isolated white cortijo of Francisco and María is located in the Sierra Subbética Natural Park. It owes its name to the title of a local newspaper founded in 1915 by the great-grandfather of the current owners. And since its opening in 2017, this hotel-museum has set itself the goal of bringing this era to life through a meticulous reconstruction of what life was like for the local bourgeoisie. You'll find this in the kitchen, reading room and reception areas, and even in the 15 rooms on offer or in the delightful cafeteria and its charming garden patio. With its coffered ceilings, decorative display cases and domestic furnishings, everything evokes this "little homeland".
