In the good barrio Realejo, a very small wine bar perfect for meetings, foraging and snacking, especially since the waiters and waitresses, pleasant, offer you a plate of canapés with each order! You hang your clothes on little hooks on the edge of the counter, and you ask for Rueda white wine served in a specially chilled glass... Ah, those little things that make big moments! The snack menu is very nice (montaditos, hot sandwiches...), the atmosphere always relaxed and the music cool. In short, it's hard to do without Candela once you've tasted it!

This is one of the most magical places in Granada and has become a classic in the city. Located in the Plaza de los Lobos, it is a piano café with a library, a jukebox and a brilliant decoration that evokes the black and white cinema of Hollywood. Jazz is of course also present there, on the walls covered with photos but also thanks to the various objects of brocante. As for live music, there will be jazz but not only. Granada has no shortage of flamenco venues, but one of the most notable is the cueva de Los Tarantos, which is listed as a historical institution. Founded in 1972, its owners have preserved the purity of flamenco and you can enjoy a show of about 30 minutes. If you want to be in a good position, you should buy your tickets in advance and arrive 20 minutes before the show, as the hall is small and therefore quickly filled. It is a show in the tradition of the gypsy zambra, specific to the Sacromonte.

Above the convent of Santa Calina, in the Albaicín, this tavern with an excellent terrace overlooking the Alhambra prepares Granada and Andalusia cuisine based on jamón y queso and serves good wine. It is also the headquarters of a purist flamenco association, but curious about all kinds of encounters, which sometimes opens its doors to non-members on Thursdays for free concerts of excellent quality. In a room steeped in history, in winter, or outdoors on sunny days, concerts are also held on Thursdays, the latter are charged, with consumption or menu. One of the oldest flamenco peñas in Spain for true flamenco puro enthusiasts.

Designed by the architect Don Miguel Olmedo, this theater was built in the late 1940s and adopted the structure of Italian theaters, which was maintained in the rehabilitation carried out in 1998. Its large hall can accommodate up to 574 spectators and the great successes of the theater season. But it is also a place that hosts important cultural events in Granada such as festivals or rock, jazz or flamenco concerts.

Instead of the old Öpera 4, probably the most active club in the evenings of house music and rhythmic fusion (including flamenco chill-out). This is a design and slightly arty place for the whole province of Granada! Sessions, thematic (arte, hip hop, R & B, become, Latin…). Culture club, what!

A 2 -minute walk from Plaza Nueva, the historic and cultural heart of Granada, Tablao Flamenco Alboreà has a traditional Andalusian flamenco show. Every day, for about an hour, a (E) singer (), a guitarist and two dancers interpret popular tunes on stage to offer a beautiful and memorable show. Artists belong to a gypsy renowned family Sacromonte and make us discover the different styles of traditional Andalusian flamenco. In a dining room that allows you to be closer to the artists, the spectators have the opportunity to sit in the steps but also in balcony in VIP area. The acoustics of Tablao allows you to fully enjoy a flamenco < i > a capella < /i >, natural and authentic.

Atmosphere similar to the Afrodisia (same stewardship), with a larger dance area, very groovy (funk, soul…), it also offers some good flamenco, latin, blues, reggae or rock concerts. To attend, in particular, when this is the evening of the free national magazine Mondo Sonoro (www.mondosonoro.com), musicos of Los Planetas (legendary pop group) or, again, when Antonio Arias and Lagartija Nick (rock noisy rock band in Granada) occur there.

At the head of this small multidisciplinary cultural centre in the Albaicín, with many member artists from all over the world, filmmaker Vincent Barniès shares with us his passion for the arts in general. Exhibitions in all directions, film cycles (Buñuel, Berlanga...), theatre and poetry, and then a lot of good music (world music). Flamenco is not to be outdone either, with the show "Raiz y Duende", on Friday and Saturday at 9pm and 10.30pm. Every day, its theme. In short, a different place not to be neglected.
