Eco-responsible hotel distilling an art of living centered on well-being and exchange and showcasing local know-how

Eco-responsible, this zen and sparkling brand distills an art of living centered on well-being, exchange and the promotion of local know-how: local organic products, care creams with island scents, a range of immersive excursions - meeting with producers, craftsmen, fishermen, etc. - and more. Artist-designer Camille Walala has created a colorful decor inspired by tropical tones. We love the in-house playlists, the cocktails at the Rooftop bar, the food at the various restaurants (including vegan options), the rituals at the spa and its salt chamber.

Wow! This hotel is an absolute dream. We would move in tomorrow.

If we could describe it in three words they would be: Boojee. Fashionable. Delicious. It has the ultimate Soho House vibes.

Special thanks to the amazing staff Viana
Ved, Vinesh, Angel and the BRILLIANT Akhilesh who went above and beyond to ensure our honeymoon was nothing short of amazing. Thank you!

The location of this hotel is a piece of paradise in itself, with breathtaking views of the crystal-clear Indian Ocean and pristine beaches right at your doorstep. What truly sets this hotel apart was the how sustainable it was and also the outstanding food; every meal was a culinary masterpiece, blending local flavors with international cuisine to perfection. We loved it so much, we extended our stay.

The impeccable service, friendly and attentive staff, stunning location, and delectable food make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable getaway. Without a doubt, we would wholeheartedly come back to relive this incredible experience.

We liked our stay here! It is a small and beautiful hotel, very nice staff, smells amazing and is very clean. The pool area, spa and beach were great as well - there is a free snorkeling trip you can sign up for at the water sport booth. The breakfast was amazing, 10/10! We would highly recommend to include this in your booking.

There was also some things we did not like as much. We would have liked to do some water sports (sailing, windsurfing) - but they stopped offering this Post covid. We booked the 'breakfast only' option because we had read about the restaurant being not the best. We tried it for both Lunch and Dinner. It was not bad food, but for the price you pay it was also not great - we did not like it as much. It did not feel like a good option so we mostly went out for dinner (better food and prices), but without our rental car this would not have been possible.

Wonderful property with extremely nice and helpful staff. We especially enjoyed waking up with a sunrise view from our room, the most comfortable bed, the large shower and toiletries provided, and the in-room sound system. The hotel has a very relaxed vibe - you could be barefoot all the time if you wanted to. Near the spa, there was always a beautiful and relaxing scent, and we loved passing by this place. The entire hotel is also very Instagrammable, with plenty of spots for capturing the perfect picture.
For breakfast there were plenty of healthy options from the a-la-carte menu, homemade kombucha, fresh tropical fruit juice, and delicious pastries and jams. The private beach is sandy, and there were always sunbeds and beach towels readily available during our stay.
We would recommend renting a car to fully explore this part of the island (e.g. beaches, temples etc.), because the hotel is in a quite remote area. It is also worth mentioning that the food prices at The Good Kitchen restaurant are quite high (e.g. up to 30€ for a portion of fish), so we opted for dinner at the nearby Trou d'Eau Douce on a few occasions for more local and budget-friendly options.
All things considered, SALT of Palmar is among our top choices to stay when we visit Mauritius again!
