I recently stayed at the Hotel Maritim to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately, they forgot about this special occasion. Despite this initial disappointment, there were some positive aspects to my stay. The staff at the hotel were friendly.

However, I found that the hotel was not worth the money for a supposed 4-star rating. I had booked a junior suite but was disappointed to find that there was no bathrobe provided, and the mini fridge in the room contained only 2 bottles of water and a soft drink. When I inquired about this, I was told that it was the standard offering, although my friend in another room had more amenities.

Additionally, I noticed that there was a missing amenities kit, which was a letdown. The food options at the hotel were limited, and the quality was not up to par. There wasn't a large variety to choose from, and the taste left much to be desired.

Furthermore, the evening entertainment provided by the hotel was lackluster and quite boring. It didn't add much value to the overall experience.

On a positive note, the spa facilities at the hotel were great and offered a relaxing experience.

In summary, while the Hotel Maritim had some good aspects, such as friendly staff and a great spa, the overall experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the price and supposed star rating.

Wir waren für 2 Wochen in diesem schönen Resort und haben es einfach nur genossen.
Das Hotel liegt an der Ostküste von Mauritius in Belle Mare. Der Strand ist herrlich feinsandig und in beiden Richtungen kann man, so man möchte, ein gutes Stück spazieren.
Die Transferzeit vom Flughafen betrug bei uns gut eine Stunde. Wir wurden direkt zum Hotel gefahren.
Gleich von Anfang an wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt und aufgenommen.
Unser Superior-DZ war mehr als ausreichend groß und hatte im Bad neben einer Wanne auch eine große bodentiefe Dusche zu bieten.
Zum Essen kann ich sagen, dass wir nach unseren zwei Wochen der Meinung sind, dass es gar nicht der drei A-la-Cart-Restaurants (türkisch, französich und asiatisch) bedürfte, da das Buffetangebot einfach traumhaft war!
Hier zählte Klasse statt Masse.
Die angebotenen Speisen waren abwechslungsreich, gut gewürzt und einfach nur lecker.
Jeden Abend gab es ein anderes Themenbuffet, bei dem für jeden etwas dabei war.
Zu allen drei Mahlzeiten, auch mittags am Pool/Strand, gab es live Cooking.
Die an den Bars angebotenen Getränke und Cocktails waren in Ordnung.
Uns hatten es die Rum-Variationen, vor allem der Vanille- und der Zimt-Rum angetan, da sowas von lecker!

Gibt es doch einmal Probleme, so sollte man sich einfach an die Gästebetreuerin Katja wenden. Sie ist in der Lobby in ihrem dortigen Büro zu finden, so sie nicht gerade in der Anlage unterwegs ist und sich nach dem Wohlbefinden der Gäste erkundigt.
Sie hat nicht nur für Probleme und Fragen ein offenes Ohr, nein, sie kann auch nützliche Tipps für Sehens- und Erlebenswertes rund um die Insel geben.

Scheinbar hat hier jedes Hotel quasi seine eigenen Strandverkäufer, deren Aufdringlichkeit sich in Grenzen hält.
Mit etwas Verhandlungsgeschick kann man da durchaus gute Preise erzielen, so man Interesse an dem Dargebotenen hat.

Fazit:
Wir hatten im Maritim Crystals Beach eine wunderschöne Zeit und können es einfach nur weiterempfehlen.

Kleiner Tipp zum Schluss:
Für Touren über die Insel ist es mehr als lohnenswert, sich einen Privatguide zu suchen, da man hier individuell genau das sehen kann, was man sehen möchte, und um Einiges mehr an Wissenswertem erfährt.

Grosse Hotelanlage. Ist nicht so unser Ding. War uns zu groß. Strand war schön. Nur schwimmen ist in dem kleinen abgegrenzten Bereich schlecht möglich.
Ausserhalb schwimmen ist wg. Motorboote und Kytesurfern lebensgefährlich. Dasselbe gilt fürs Schnorcheln. Keine Chance. Wer das möchte sollte in ein anderes Hotel gehen. Die Staff war sehr freundlich. Wenn man das angebotene Buffet nicht wollte, hätte man sich etwas kochen lassen können. Das fand ich top.
Was wir ganz schrecklich und auch sehr unhygienisch fanden, waren bei jedem Essen die Tauben. Hat sich ein Gast vom Tisch entfernt, sind die Tauben wie die Aasgeier auf den Tisch und haben alles zerpflückt. Single Gäste konnten sich teilweise nicht mal einen Kaffee holen. Man braucht schon einen der am Tisch aufpasst. Ein absolutes No-Go.
Hier nochmals die Bitte an das Management. Don't feed the doves.
So werden zwar einige Tauben weggelockt. Dafür vermehren sie sich umso mehr. Das führt in nächster Zeit unweigerlich in Richtung Alfred Hitchcock "Die Vögel" ????
Die Liegen am Strand sind für die Anzahl der Gäste definitiv zu wenig.
Was wiederum den guten Deutschen in die Richtung "Liegenbelegerfraktion" am Strand treibt. Und wohlgemerkt nur den Deutschen. Keine andere Nation dort belegt um 06:30Uhr Liegen und kommt dann um 11:00 Uhr an den Strand.
Ansonsten war es ein angenehmer Urlaub.

Beautiful beaches.

Extremely rude staff.

No beef or pork served

No concept of making cocktails

Food poorly made with no accommodation for children, same food served everyday for children

Warm water or cold, could not have a hot bath

If you want four star service and food do not go here, absolute no value for money

Hotel is not worth the 4 stars but rather a 2 or 3 stars hotel.
Not many food options and food was not that tasty (I tried all options being offered, they all tasted bad).
The bar and drinks offered also need to be reviewed. (Cocktails, Daiquiris, etc should be served in proper glasses.)
The hotel is old and badly needs a renovation.
The boat house should be booked on the same day and it opens at 9 a.m. I went there at 9 07 a.m. and it was already fully booked.

The only good thing about the hotel is that some employees are attentive and very helpful, otherwise, very bad experience.

I will NOT recommend the hotel to friends/families.

Very disappointed for the Room the Tub is dirty , services are not that Great from the Reception to the Waiter and Cook are not attentive to guest request. For a 4* hotel its not worth it . Food is so Cheap .

Hi im jeyen i have Come to thé hotel on thé gâté thé sécurité have no manner. I took à junior suite but it same like à normal room. Inside thé mini bar they dont put can of béer. No soap inside thé room thé shampoo have no smell at night too many mosquito. I think it better to chose ànother hotel than this one.

Ich kann nur 2 Sterne geben, da die Tatsache, dass man innerhalb des Hotels abgezogen wird alles andere überschattet.

Der Kiosk innerhalb des Hotels bietet weit und breit die einzige Möglichkeit um an Zigaretten zu kommen. Dies wird ausgenutzt indem "Oliver" unter der Hand Zigaretten verkauft, die 3 mal mehr kosten als auf Mauritius sonst üblich.

Ich bin entsetzt darüber, dass eine deutsche Hotelkette so etwas zulässt und unterstützt. Absolut unprofessionell und grenzt für mich an Kriminalität. Lasst euch bitte nicht abziehen! Absolut keine Empfehlung!

Petit couple français en voyage de noce.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour où on s’est senti dorloté par tout le personnel. Personnel très accueillant, souriant et gentil, toujours près à rendre service. On ressent également la bonne ambiance et cohésion entre collègues. Les repas sont très variés et proposent de large choix pour tous les goûts. L’extérieur est très bien entretenue avec un accès direct sur la magnifique plage depuis notre suite.

Un special thanks à Sam pour l’organisation et management au top, merci à Célie pour l’accueil chaleureux et le sourire, merci à Deepak, Navin et Reza pour la prise en charge restaurant et la réponse quasi instantanée à nos demandes, merci Fanny et Mahdvi pour la parenthèse spa très agréable et merci aussi à Sweta, Zishan, Danish pour nos échanges riches et le service de qualité.
