Wonderful service, lovely staff, great variety of food, special room service. The surface of the sand was rough because of coral deposits. Good entertainment. Superb grounds great security and a good amount of space for privacy.

Went for a day package today with friends..The female staffs at indigo bar didn't even welcome us..not even a smile...when we ordered drinks they were behaving rudely..A male waiter acccidently bróke few glasses near our table...one of my friend could get injured...the female staffs were laughing loudly at us.not even a sorry...we felt very uncomfortable z whole day with their behaviour towards us...we were on our own..very poor customer care

Wenn ich könnte, würde ich 0 Sterne geben. Dieses Hotel auf gar keinen Fall buchen! Hier ist nichts renoviert und alle Mängel werden schlecht mit Farbe übermalt.
In unserem ersten Zimmer sind die Ameisen neben dem Bett an der Wand hoch gelaufen… Wir haben dann das Zimmer gewechselt und noch mehr alten Dreck präsentiert bekommen.
Die Toilettentüre lässt sich nicht schließen und an den Wänden klebt gelbes Zeug.
Personal wirkt sehr lustlos und gibt sich keinerlei Mühe um die Situation für uns zu verbessern. Wir haben mehrmals mit der Managerin gesprochen und uns beschwert…. Lösungsvorschlag: Keiner.
Erst nachdem wir Bilder an die zentrale Emailadresse geschickt haben, wurde uns eine Rückerstattung von 50% des Preises angeboten wenn wir gehen wollen.

Je suis aller a cette hôtel normalement pour 13 nuits sur place mais j ai demander à quitter cette hôtel car chambre très sale taches sur les draps toile d araignée dans la salle de bain serviette de toilette jaune piscine infecte toutes choses sur l eau huiles cheveux bestioles qui flotte nous avons changer d hôtel qui es la même chaîne mais la surprise promo séjour nous a débité sur notre compte 1600€ un vol manifeste je vais entamer une action en justice contre ce tour opérateur mais l hôtel de soûla à es a fuir

Nous avons été très déçus de cet hôtel et nous ne le recommandons absolument pas.
Les points positifs :
- une plage assez sauvage,
- un hôtel intimiste dont toutes les chambres ont une vue mer.
Les points négatifs :
- l’hôtel est vieux et absolument pas entretenu, ne vaut pas 4 étoiles, des fuites d’eaux partout,
- les chambres sont assez sales, miroir, verre, tableaux tachés et même les serviettes (aucune serviette sans taches en 9 jours !)
- le personnel de restaurant n’est pas agréable (étonnant connaissant la gentillesse du peuple mauricien),
- absence totale de service, nous avons attendu plus deux heures pour avoir nos valises, ils ne sont jamais arrivées, nous sommes allées les récupérés nous-mêmes à l’accueil (ils ne se sont même pas soucié de la disparition des valises…),
- les serveurs ne débarrassent pas les verres au bord de la piscine et de la plage.

We were at Solana for a day package with our group and we had a great time. We recommend this hotel, we had a very warm welcome from the front office team , specially Mrs Yogishta, ,Anu Shalini and Dominique at the bar. THANK YOU ALL , KEEP ROCKING.

An hour drive from the airport, we arrived at the resort. As per our flight timings from India we reached by 9 AM, waited almost 4 hours to get a room. Other neighbouring resorts are more accommodating in this regard.
The rooms are spacious with fantastic views. Housekeeping services also good, especially Veena did a good job.
Note that any food ordered to the room, there is a service charge of 250 MUR.
There is a store in the resort premises where you can buy beach wear and other accessories , but the prices are ridiculous.
For a comb, I was charged 500 MUR.
Some activities like kayaking, glass bottle and surfing can be availed free of cost at the boathouse.Other water sports like undersea walk, snorkelling, parasailing, tube riding are paid, u can bargain for the prices, better book in advance.
Our package included half board, meaning breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast spread is huge but not much variety day to day and dinner different cuisines every day but the taste is not up to the Indian palate.
On our first day we were charged 120 MUR for water, which was cancelled on last day (In supermarket price is 30MUR for 1.5litre). There was some confusion among the reception staff and dining staff regarding this. For three days during dinner we didn’t order any water neither did they offer. This issue put a dent in our holiday spirit.
There are other restaurants and bar as well to chill out. Watch out live music performances at 9pm every night.
On our last day our departure was at 6:30 AM, the packed breakfast was ready for us, a surprise & nice gesture.

Magnifique séjour en amoureux(sans nos enfants). L hotel et la chambre top avec vu sublime. Un peu déçu niveau communication car on a pas bénéficier de tous les services inclus car pas au courant comme les activés nautique. On a réservé des activités en dehors de hôtel. Pareil au resto, on a du poser des questions plusieurs fois au serveurs pour savoir ce qu'on avait l'endroit ou pas....mais cela reste tout de même l'un de nos meilleurs sejours.Sinon même pas besoin de sortir de l'hôtel, il nous offre tous ce dont nous avons besoin surtout le calme pas d'enfants acceptés.

Wir haben das Hotel im September mit HP gebucht. Unser Aufenthalt war leider durchwachsen.
Das Zimmer war sehr schön und mit Meerblick.
Das Essen war ok, mehr aber leider auch nicht.
Es gab eine Reihe von kostenlosen Wassersportaktivitäten was wir sehr toll fanden.
Der Poolbereich und das Hotel war leider sehr in die Jahre gekommen.
Leider hatten wir im September zudem noch sehr Pech mit dem Wetter. Es hat 4 Tage am Stück nur gestürmt und geregnet.

Hi,, Lovely Vacations at Solana, Amazing weather and excellent Property. Me and my wife visited there on 6 Nov 23.
From the day of check in to check out,everything was inch perfect like a magic.
Few things I suggest to Management to add on in full on board packages like
01. Complimentary 02 water bottles in room everyday needs to be provided.
02. Our room 1121 shower area needs some new revisions as water sometimes passes through glasses to other side.
Overall it was a amazing experience, will definitely choose next time again with same room.

No-one wants to be 'in paradise' and have to close the curtains all the time. A real pity as the view was lovely.
The buffet was ok, except 2 days we saw bugs around the bread and the coffee.
The food packages are a rip off. We ended up being forced to pay 45$ for 2 packed breakfast that included 2 juices, 4 mini-muffins (that were incredibly dry), 2 apples, 2 ice teas and 2 yogurt. They wouldn't let us pay the breakfast for all days except the last. Our flight was at 7 and we had to leave 5:00 am for the airport. A total rip-off.
I am giving it a 2 stars, as the rooms were nice and spacious, the view was good and the staff lovely, but the overall experience was bad: the lack of privacy, the amount of noise, the petition to change the room that was lost into nothingness and never mentioned again (after 2 requests), the bland food... I wouldn't recommend and I would definitely not go back.

My fiancé and I went to Solana on a day package to celebrate our engagement anniversary. From the moment we arrived till we checked out, everything was perfect - beautiful resort and view on the sea, peaceful atmosphere, friendly staffs, delicious food and drinks. Every single menu we tasted was exquisite.

Je suis déçu de cet hôtel. La chambre est très bien propre agréable, mais la plage est affreuse . Pleins de plaques de gros cailloux plat qui glissent au bord de la mer , pour rentrer dans l'eau on glissent on se fait mal , non je n'apprécie pas du tout cette plage , la nourriture n'est pas terrible toujours les mêmes choses a mangé pas de laitages ni fromage

Apres 2 semaines passées au solana ,
Hotel à taille humaine, chambres un peu vieillottes, mais confortables..vue sur le lagon magnifique ! merci à Latita pour sa gentilesse et l entretien de notre chambre. Buffet correct , mais rien d extraordinaire et assez répétitif ...
Personnel agréable et serviable. Au final, nous avons passé un bien agréable séjour dans cet hôtel....même si il est situé dans une zone un peu isolée..Regine et Thierry

Bel hôtel, mais les chambres ont vraiment besoin d’un rafraîchissement . Le buffet est bon. Loin de tout, pour se déplacer, pas le choix de prendre un taxi.

We stayed at Solana for 7 nights in September for our Honeymoon. This was our first time in Mauritius. We arrived quite late in the evening, and the lady who assisted us upon check-in was lovely, and gave us a good breakdown of the resort. However we found that the staff at reception for the rest of our stay were quite unfriendly.
We had a ground level room facing the ocean, and the view is spectacular. Our room was standard, but overall comfortable and clean. Our shower door leaked at the bottom due to ill-fitting doors, but we made do.
Our house keeper Veena put a smile on my face every day. What a wonderful attentive lady. Each day she left us with a beautiful note and folded towels in swans, dogs and elephants, and on the day of my birthday she just made my day. Veena is 1 in a million and I can't stress enough what a difference it makes to have a house-keeper with a personal, caring touch.
We were on full-board, so all food was inclusive, but we paid for our drinks. The food is good, and served as a buffet 3 times a day, but a little more variety is recommended. The drinks we found to be expensive, and bottled water comes at quite a hefty price too. We requested ice in our room on 2 separate occasions and paid heftily for ice. This should be free to guests, considering there are no ice-trays available in the bar fridges.
For my birthday we had a candle-light dinner in the Gazebo, and we absolutely loved this experience, the food and effort put in by the staff was excellent, I highly recommend booking this. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, there are great water activities available, the beach and sea is magnificent, but I do recommend taking water shoes with, as there is a lot of coral in the swimming area, and on the beach.
For those that are wanting to go on day trips, the resort is quite a distance away from everything, and taxi's are expensive. The buses also do not pass through this area.
The pool and bar area are really nice too. This resort is definitely perfect if you are looking for relaxation above everything.
Lastly, there was an adorable stray cat on the premises while we were there, as an animal lover, I was delighted to have him greeting us on the pathways, and strolling through the buffet area to say hi. I know this is not for everyone, but I do hope that Solana is being kind to him, a resort with a friendly resident cat has a warmth to it, and they do help keep the pests away.

Great times spent with friends at Solana hotel. The waiter very friendly, food was great, had a good times in the pool. Big thanks to the leisure manager Mr Chris and his team for entertaining us during our petangue match and volley ball. It is our 7th times at the hotel and sure will be back again.
