Pulau Tenggol is a rocky islet 17 km off the coast of Kuala Dungun. Seldom visited by tourists, it is mostly visited by fishermen and natural scientists in search of rare samples of flora and fauna. But it's a small paradise for divers, whose translucent, unspoilt waters are a treasure trove. Beautiful sandy beaches stretch out to the east. Only one resort welcomes tourists, on the north-western side of the island, and it caters mainly to divers, with specially adapted packages. To get there, charter a boat through a local agency.
