Kaolack being a strategic communication node between Dakar, the Gambia and western Senegal, its market is one of the most important in the country. It has kept all its authenticity, its stalls in bulk, its colors and its effervescence. You can find a little bit of everything: fabrics imported from Guinea-Conakry, herbal medicinal decoctions, musical instruments, easier to negotiate than in Dakar. However, the market is to be avoided during the winter period when the flooded and unhealthy alleys do not inspire confidence.
