Calm, clear and limpid water: this is the water that awaits you on the small beach of Gorée, bounded by the pier's dyke. It is protected from the Atlantic winds, like the whole island, being located in the centre of a harbour, but the water is cooler than on the mainland. Quiet during the week and out of season, it is however very busy during the holidays and weekends. In the event of large crowds, you may prefer the other beach of the island, below Fort d'Estrées, out of sight.

Une petite plage enfermée par des terrasses de restaurants, la digue du quai d'accostage des chaloupes de Dakar et une côte rocheuse. Regarder la très grande animation au moment des arrivées et départs des bateaux avec la nuée de vendeurs de souvenirs d'une terrasse est un moment privilégié.

La plage à l'arrivée et au départ de l'Ile de Gorée est impressionnante. L'eau turquoise, et cette magnifique plage dès l'arrivée.
Il y a un énorme cœur rouge à l'arrivée sur l'Ile. Vous y trouverez de nombreux restaurants et des vendeurs de souvenirs.

L'arrivée et le départ se fait facilement avec la navette qui a un départ presque toutes les heures.
