The French Institute enjoys a strategic location in the heart of the city and a unique setting in Dakar. Thus, its multimedia multimedia library, its green theatre, its exhibition gallery and its language centre have been able to offer the people of Dakar a rich and varied cultural offer. Throughout the year, it also programmes many quality shows and concerts. One can also stop there for a drink or lunch: the bar-restaurant is very pleasant.

GRAND THÉÂTRE NATIONAL DOUDOU NDIAYE ROSE

Inaugurated in 2011, the Grand Théâtre de Dakar has since established itself as the most important theatre in West Africa. Built over six floors, this majestic edifice can accommodate up to 1,800 spectators and boasts over 200 rooms reserved for artists and technicians, including dressing rooms and rehearsal rooms. It presents a rich and varied program, with masterpieces from the African and international cultural repertoires. A great day out.

THÉÂTRE NATIONAL DANIEL SORANO

Inaugurated in 1965 by President Léopold Sédar Senghor, the Daniel Sorano National Theatre, named after the famous Franco-Senegalese actor, is a modern theatre with an Italian-style stage that can accommodate more than 1,000 people. Throughout the year, it offers a varied program, ranging from performances by the National Ballet to concerts by more or less well-known artists. There are also plays and shows for children.
