Ousmane Mbaye, one of Senegal's most talented designers, opened his showroom in his childhood neighbourhood. One is immediately struck by the furniture with pure lines that perfectly occupy the space. Creator bubbling with ideas, his works evolve with time, his questions and his desires. You can feel it just by walking through the room. And if this contemporary design pleases you, take a trip to Shop Bi, a concept-store just a stone's throw away, where Ousmane Mbaye offers a selection of objects spotted during his travels.

Whether they are made of natural fibres, cotton, linen or paper, Johanna Bramble's creations reveal singular patterns with colours that are sometimes bright and sometimes discreet. It is in the garden of her workshop that Senegalese weavers reproduce her designs on a traditional loom. Lampshades, cushions, bags, curtains or even loincloths, these works of art surprise by the traditional techniques used, embellished with a more contemporary personal touch.

Created in 1961, this village is a good place to get an idea of what the country's craftsmen produce. Grouped by professional category, the artisans exhibit a wide range of sculpted works. You'll also find all types of leather goods (cow, snake, goat, crocodile) and jewelry. Unfortunately, the place has become very touristy, and prices are often unreasonable. Bargaining is the order of the day, as is harassment from the touts.

At Lulu, it is above all a family passion for interior decoration, a tribute to a grandmother who passed away, but also a beautiful story of friendship. The brand, already present in Belgium, naturally developed in Senegal, and it is Clément, the friend of the associates, who launched into the adventure here. 850 ^m2 are thus dedicated to interior decoration, from furniture to household linen and tableware. A beautiful place to discover, but also to try out on the restaurant side which offers a pleasant lunch break, based on healthy and original dishes.
