Monterrey, a metropolis of 6 million inhabitants, is the third largest city in Mexico, after Mexico City and Guadalajara. The city was founded in 1596 by Diego de Montemayor. It was not until after Mexico's independence that the city really began to develop around manufacturing activities. Because of its economic boom, the city has become more touristic and cultural spaces have multiplied in recent years: exhibition centers, concert halls, music bars... Even if the city does not have the attraction of the big colonial cities like Guanajuato or Zacatecas, one can easily spend one or two days there without being afraid of being bored
