130 kilometers east of San Luis Potosi, on route 70 to Ciudad Valles. It is a two-hour drive from the center of SLP. From this small town, which is reached by a mountain road, you can visit the main attraction of the region: Media Luna, a lagoon located at 980 m of altitude, 36 m deep, with a constant temperature of 26 to 28 °C, without currents or dangerous fish, and offering a visibility that goes up to 35 m deep. Diving is available here. You can also swim and stay at a camping area. In Río Verde itself, there are several hotels and restaurants.
