Located in the heart of the hotel zone and much frequented by American tourists, the Coral Negro market sells more souvenirs than handicrafts. It does, however, offer some interesting items. One store in particular is worth a visit, on the seaward side of boulevard Kukulcán. It sells handcrafted leather bags at attractive prices. Another store sells vaquero boots made from crocodile and snakeskin... Come here, however, in the knowledge that you will undoubtedly be besieged by pushy salespeople.
