This small Las Galeras beach is just 5 minutes from the town center. Nicknamed playita by the locals, it features a long strip of white sand bordered by leaning coconut palms and beach restaurants. The clear water ripples gently. A very pretty and popular spot (especially at weekends), ideal for swimming. Sun loungers can be rented from 150 pesos. Also worth a visit is the Cueva Duarte cave, on the left as you leave the beach. A visit to complement the main Las Galeras beach.
