BRISAS DEL CARIBE
Read moreSheltered under a palm roof, the best restaurant in town is very busy at lunchtime. The cuisine here is mainly inspired by seafood, although meat and pasta dishes are also on the menu. The sea breeze combined with a breathtaking sea view makes this a very pleasant lunch spot. The restaurant, nestled in a single-storey house, has large bay windows allowing you to admire the sea from the service room. Good welcome and friendly service, despite some delays.
LA ESQUINA DE FIDEL
Read moreThe front of the establishment announces the color: "The best sandwich of Barahona", nothing but that! And we can say that the affluence which reigns in this small kiosk tends to give him reason. Here, we eat at the counter or on small tables, and the atmosphere is 100% local. There is a long menu of sandwiches, of course, but also other fast food specialities and excellent fruit juices. If you're in town, be sure to stop by Fidel's. The restaurant is housed in an orange and yellow wooden house.
D'SAIRY GRILL
Read moreOpened in 2020, D'Sairy is both a central and rather gourmet option in Barahona. Perched on the second floor of a building bordering the central plaza of the city's colonial center, the restaurant looks like a beach shack, but at a higher altitude. Modern decoration on white wood, nice bar, one comes there mainly for its international and local cuisine as well prepared as presented in the plate. Of course, the prices are a little higher than elsewhere, but the quality of the products is there. Frequent live music evenings on weekends.
