At the mouth of the Rio Higuamo and near the cathedral, the Rio Mar restaurant (referred to by locals as Robby Mar) is one of the nicest places in town. Some would even say that it is the best restaurant in San Pedro de Macoris. Renowned for its marine specialties, it serves excellent crabs and lobsters, but also grilled fish and delicious and generous seafood platters. If the decoration is a bit out of fashion, the service is very friendly. THE good address in town!
