Museum housed in an ancient sanctuary with a fine collection of archaeological objects.
The Aix-les-Bains lapidary museum is housed in an exceptional site: the ancient sanctuary of the Temple de Diane, one of the few preserved temples in France. Although its original dedicatee remains a mystery, speculation suggests it may have been dedicated to Mercury or Borvo, the Celtic god of hot springs. As for the museum, it houses a fascinating collection of archaeological artefacts, inviting us on a captivating journey through the region's ancient history.

De l'extérieur il faut chercher le temple de Diane, sans le panneau explicatif on passe à côté ! L'arc situé non loin est plus visible et compréhensible si l'on ne visite pas le musée
