The Fleurie Wine Market has been held every October for 100 years. Originally devoted solely to the local cru, it has since expanded to include wines from the Beaujolais, Mâconnais and Chalonnais regions. When it was first held in 1925, the market was used by merchants and bistros from Lyon, who came to buy new wine. 45 winegrowers from the Beaujolais, Mâconnais and Chalonnais regions were present to taste their wines. At the same time, a Salon du Livre Gourmand is held.
