For 96 years, the Fleurie Wine Market has been held in October. Originally devoted solely to local wines, it has expanded to include wines from the Beaujolais, Mâconnais and Chalonnais regions. At the time of its first edition, in 1925, the market's users were merchants and bistros from Lyon who came to buy new wine. 45 winemakers from the Beaujolais, Mâconnais and Chalonnais regions were present to taste their wines. At the same time, a Gourmet Book Fair is held.
