SAINT-ÉTIENNE MÉTROPOLE

Located in the Châteaucreux district, Saint-Etienne Métropole is a public institution for intercommunal cooperation that covers the greater Saint-Etienne area, and even the south-east of the département. With a population of almost 400,000, it is one of the department's major centers. The community's responsibilities include economic development, spatial planning and social housing. Saint-Etienne Métropole is also responsible for major cultural and sporting facilities, such as the Museum of Modern Art and Geoffroy-Guichard stadium.
