A "classic" of good repute in the pedestrian street of Villard. It should be said that in all the respecte mountain cities, the word "Matafan" means a dish which allows for the "mater of hunger" during the hard days of labeur. In a very mountain setting where you can discover many traditional objects or a pleasant terrace sheltered from the bustle of the street, you can enjoy the specialities of our mountains, from the reblochonnade to the wood fire to the old and always to the wood fire, without forgetting the montane fondue to the ceps or the wood fire brasérade. Unless you prefer to turn on the side of the salads, Ravioles De ravioles and sweet pancakes. There are no surprises, but real generosity on plates and a pleasant service that makes this Matafan an address not to miss during your stay.

Une bonne adresse
Nous avons passé un très bon moment au Matafan, La petite terrasse dans une cour intérieure est très bien protégée du vent et très accueillante. Le service était très agréable La pizza était excellente et les brochettes de poulets au thym savoureuse. Nous avons apprécié le pain bio de la boulangerie voisine dans la corbeille. Le prix reste très correct pour Villard

toujours ravis d'y aller depuis 13 ans.Décor sympa, propriétaires et personnels accueillants.Il est certain qu' on y va pas pour manger un steack frites! mais plutot une reblochonade, tartiflette, fondues, raclettes etc...bref des plats typiques de montagne ,jamais déçus et surtout une constance dans la qualité de la cuisine.

I disappointed by this a priori typical outdoor mountain setting inside, that can let predict one friendly good moment, but question cuisine that looks more like a cuisine but without snack stay! thus expensive, the trap benet or tourist what as you prefer to avoid it is on
