The keep of Morestel is full of history since the 11th century. A castle once crowned this rocky mound, but it was destroyed in 1575 during the Wars of Religion, and only the keep survived. Restored in the 1970s and listed as a historical monument, the Tower offers a successful marriage between medieval architecture and contemporary art. Today, it hosts exhibitions of paintings and sculptures. Orientation table at the belvedere with a breathtaking view of the roofs of the town, the Bugey and the Alps.

très bel tour vu de l'extérrieur; Nous sommes venus hors saison et n'avons pas pu accéder à l'interieur mais vu sa taille et son emplacement, on devinne aisément quelle sorte de paysage qui peut s'offrir à nous de la haut. On reviendrait le visiter en été !
