In the heart of the Oisans, a few steps from the 2 Alps and Alpe d'Huez or on the Serre-Chevalier route, the Auberge du Freney is certainly one of the smartest plans to go to the winter mountains as summer. A charming personal home of our guests, Nicole -a real guide that advises us wonderful for our hikes and our leisure-and Fabrice -the chef, who receives us in a beautiful house of stone and character. Eight fully serviced rooms on three floors, but one bedroom on the ground floor accessible and equipped for disabled guests. Smart applauds. We also enjoy the four completely renovated rooms, the soft, spacious and bright vegetable plant names for families. No doubt, one of the best value for money for an Alpine stay. All the more so as the hostel is home to a restaurant where regional specialities and a family kitchen are at the rate of seasonal products. An address recommended by the Smart for a relaxed stopover and for a stay combining joie de vivre and sports activities.
