The reference library among the network of 14 grenobloises libraries, which contains, apart from its cyberspace and contemporary works, the invaluable Grand Chartreuse fonds and Stendhal fonds with very numerous original editions and the author's manuscripts. A total of about 40 000 pages of author's manuscripts and over 10 000 printed books relating to Stendhal's works or life. Finally, almost 700 museums are also kept in this library.
