Created in 1918, Au Fidèle Berger is a local institution, the ancestor of all the town's tea rooms. In a timeless, cosy style, gourmands gather with good company to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, although the house specialty is hot chocolate accompanied by a homemade delicacy... also chocolate! We no longer extol the virtues of the famous "Savoyarde" bell and the Roseaux d'Annecy for comfort. In summer, enjoy a home-made ice cream on the terrace. The best of tradition.

When I come to Annecy, I have this faithful habit of going to this tea room. This morning I have just taken a breakfast formula at 9 euros, always with its excellent hot chocolate! Whether classical or Viennese (with chantilly), it's a treat to papillae: This is real and good hot chocolate we serve, a feast! For me, this is an unavoidable address of Annecy, not to miss under any pretext!

Cette pâtisserie est un endroit agréable pour prendre un petit déjeuner ou un goutter. Les viennoiseries sont très bonnes, le personnel accueillant. Les chocolats sont gourmands.
After read various opinions on this place, I made a try it. Outside is pleasant to watch, the interior " cosy" but the tables are small and many - too small and too many. You will quickly next to your neighbour or neighbour, which is not always pleasant. The service is quick enough but average. We have chosen two hot milhojas and two chocolates (€15.2). The laminated one of cakes too much was cooked and cream standard - quality. The hot chocolate were, however, a very poor quality, comparable to the instant.
To pay, I gave to the waiter €20.20 and expected the currency. After a few minutes I moved to the group of employees who entertained service and requested 5th. Under the smiles of the waitresses, the waiter answered me that it had not noticeable.
In conclusion, I will say that this establishment enjoys a fame that made it forget the quality and the service.
