LA BERGERIE * * * *
Contemporary design chalet-hotel with a kitchenette in Morzine.
The sheepfold where former ski champion Jean Vuarnet spent his childhood has been transformed into a charming hotel chalet since it was taken over by Paule and Claude Marullaz in 1976. With the help of their daughter Caroline, it has become this cozy cocoon, in the heart of the village and a stone's throw from the slopes. We appreciate the very successful renovation, with a chic mountain style of stone and wood. A contemporary design, while being colourful and warm. The cosy rooms, carefully decorated, very comfortable, with a kitchen area when you want to escape from the restaurants for an evening. Nevertheless, a table d'hôtes welcomes the children every evening. For small stomachs, vegetable soup is always possible! In the afternoon, after skiing, we have a good snack before going outside to enjoy the hammam, the panoramic sauna and the swimming pool, heated to 29°C. Here, the children kings also have a beautiful playroom and a summer garden. An establishment with a warm and family atmosphere where everyone can find their place, and where everyone can enjoy an excellent holiday at their own pace, in both winter and summer.
Eric was brillaint the whole stay helping us with any request he was extremely helpful. Wither it was the times of buses or activities to do for a rainy day Eric was on hand to help us.
The dinner which Caroline cooked was 2nd to none, lovely home cooked French cuisine with the option of a children's table is a fantastic idea.
The real star of the show is the hotel dog Jeep which can keep the children entertained for hours!
Would highly recommend this hotel.
