From the beginnings of expeditions to the "glaciers of Savoy" to the establishment of a winter sports resort, the journey has been a long one, marked by the adaptation of the inhabitants as they made the transition from traditional livestock farming to tourism. It's beautiful architecturally and really central in Chamonix and has been going on for years, so even people who live near Les Grands Montets know about this renovation, but apparently the real estate agents just a few blocks away are oblivious.
C'est vraiment dommage.
