Read moreSamy Frey, Gérard Depardieu, Claude Lelouch, Bébel and Pierce Brosnan: they all adorn the façade of Chamonix's Vox cinema. This is to be expected, given that each of them has at one time or another shot a film or scene in Mont Blanc country. It's a pity the fresco wasn't done later, as Clint Eastwood and Cécile de France could have appeared in the trompe-l'oeil windows created by A. Fresco. Inside, three 3D digital cinemas offer a wide choice of French and foreign films in French and - oh miracle in Haute-Savoie - original versions. Who said there were too many British tourists in Chamonix? Not the film buffs!
