In 1983, Radio Drôme was inaugurated, which today has become France Bleu Drôme Ardèche. The station occupies modern and spacious premises in the rehabilitated area of the former Latour-Maubourg barracks. Its story began on the slopes of Lyon in 1982, when Father Emmanuel Payen set up the antenna of France's first free Christian radio station in the attics of the Fourvière basilica.
