Wine estates Tain-L'Hermitage

The Cave coopérative de Tain is a benchmark for pleasure and oenology. Established since 1933, at the foot of the famous Hermitage hill, the Cave de Tain, leading producer of the northern crus (Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas and Saint-Péray), has been awarded the Vignobles et Découvertes and Vignerons engagés labels. The house has existed since 1884. It is one of the region's must-see places! Today, the Vineum of Domaines Paul Jaboulet Ainé is at the same time a cellar, a tasting room, a wine bar and a restaurant. At the foot of the Hermitage hill, it is a delicious and warm address. You are here in a wine fief where the Jaboulet house has been working for more than two centuries in the respect of the vine and which offers a table full of flavours.

It is an institution! The origins of the estate date back to 1808. Today, the seventh generation of Chapoutier is at the helm. Even if this estate remains the most important producer of Hermitage, it has diversified towards other regions. Little by little, the vineyard has been transformed into a biodynamic culture. This truculent winemaker was also a pioneer in the translation of labels into Braille... Chapoutier exports all over the world. The plus : it is also a school with oenology courses and initiation to wine tasting.
