Museum located in Vanosc, retracing the passage from a craft technique, the cartwrighting, to an industrial technique.

Created in 2001 and managed by the La Vanaude association, this museum reveals the transition from a traditional craft, charronnage, to an industrial technique, coachbuilding. Enlarged in 2007, the museum has 2 exhibition areas housing a collection of some twenty horse-drawn vehicles, coaches and buses. Wheelwrighting and bodywork workshops, exhibition rooms and videos all bear witness to the career of Joseph Besset, apprentice wheelwright who became a major coach builder and creator of the first "modern" coach in Europe: the Isobloc...

D'abord un grand merci à notre très sympathique guide ☺️. Une très belle visite très bien documentée et vraiment très intéressante. Nous avons découvert le métier de charron et ensuite une très importante collection de véhicules miniatures mais aussi de vrais bus et cars de différentes époques très bien exposés.
C'était une très belle découverte !????
