On this interesting listed site, you'll discover an ancient troglodyte village built on an extinct volcano. The walk stimulates the imagination as you pass through the various dwellings. You'll climb through the ages, to the delight of young and old alike, all impressed by this volcanic rock dug out by man some 8 million years ago to serve as dwellings. The site can be reached by footpath from the church in Saint-Gineis-en-Coiron or from the village center of Saint-Jean-le-Centenier.
