The Aven d'Orgnac is without doubt one of the most impressive underground formations in the region, if not the country. Classified as a Grand Site de France, the Aven - which differs from a cave in that its opening is vertical - is a cavity created by water erosion in the Bois de Ronze massif. The site itself is worth a visit for the beauty of its natural formations, but is also a lively place all year round, with numerous shows and exhibitions organized.
