Medieval defensive complex, whose remains offer a breathtaking 360° panorama, a place to visit from the outside
Extremely well placed to keep watch over the surrounding area, the remains of this medieval defensive complex today offer a fascinating panorama of almost 360 degrees. The Coiron, a basaltic plateau formed by ancient volcanic activity, stretches out below, revealing its architecture. The tower can be seen from afar on its rocky promontory, with its black basalt rubble held together by white limestone chains. Although you can't visit it from the inside, you can walk around the ruins of this former stronghold held by the Huguenots.
