Perched on an escarpment of black basalt, this village is dominated by its keep, a vestige of one of the two destroyed castles. The Olivier de Serres museum (1539-1619) in the Domaine du Pradel is worth a visit. It was rebuilt after being razed to the ground on May 7, 1628 during the Wars of Religion. The library of the famous agronomist, which allowed the development of mulberry cultivation and silkworm breeding, was burnt and his notes disappeared. This area also has a geological feature: the organs, magnificent basaltic flows, but also in the field of built heritage, the church of Saint-Etienne
