A superb church classified as a historical monument, with 5 chapels and a necropolis, near the castle of the Dukes of Joyeuse.
Located near the castle of the Dukes of Joyeuse, Saint-Pierre church was built on a rocky spur. The chapel dedicated to Saint Peter dates back to the 11th century. It was donated to the monks of Cluny by the bishop of Viviers in 1111, and subsequently annexed to the Rosières priory, which was under the jurisdiction of Ruoms. Rebuilt in the 17th century, the church has undergone several renovations and extensions. Listed as a Monument Historique, this magnificent edifice houses five chapels and a necropolis with several vaults, including that of Bishop Guillaume.
