QUE LES CHIENS SONT HEUREUX...
Read moreBehind a huge private club-style door, a bric of chairs, tables and armchairs, all right from antique shops, creates an atmosphere conducive to relaxation. On the shelves, classical literature prompts to ask. And to perfect this décor, exhibitions of pictorial artists in the region are organized regularly, with rotation every two to three months. It is only possible to choose among the many wine-growing wines offered by the card, the vintage that will best accompany this moment. Unless you prefer to draw in coffees and tea-making teas.
To accompany the wine (and not the reverse), the establishment uses artisanal products, charcuterie, cheeses, smoked trout from the Jura and other foie gras de duck. Similarly, walnuts, figs and other dry fruits are offered to customers with their order.
CAFÉ BERNOLIN, CHEZ LA JEANNE
Read moreNestled in a construction of the th century, in the pedestrian city centre, it has a terrible stamp, this coffee, with its stones, its exposed beams and its rustic furniture! And above all, in Jeanne, it is an institution in Bourg-en-Bresse. The establishment, created in 1957 by the mother of the current owner, saw the whole walking burgienne passing. Since its inception, the Raides Raides Group has been home to each of its passages in the city, as well as the accordionist Jean Corti.
On every Tuesday of the month, Jeanne also hosts a Philosophy Café.
LE CASA LEON
Read moreIn the heart of Bourg, right next to Edgar Quinnet Square and its famous Vizerette fountain, Le Casa is an essential part of the burgiennes evenings. In the programme: Latin ambiance and current music. The club even offers salsa courses on Wednesday evening. The institution targets a clientele aged 25 to 35, but music, a little strong, seems to attract a younger audience.
LA PLACE ROUGE
Read moreThe specialty of Red Square is (obviously) vodka. Ordinary, it will be served by shooting at € 2, with a choice of 36 syrups with different perfumes. But the establishment also offers exceptional vodkas such as the Soplica which, produced in Poland, has five different aromas. The decoration was recently redone: Pink velvet drapes, high light tables, transparent stools, brick walls and piano.
