The Harmas Jean-Henri Fabre, home of the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, has been awarded the "Maison des Illustres" label. Harmas Jean-Henri Fabre is a museum located in Serignan-Du-Comtat. Its garden is the research area of naturalist and entomologist Jean-Henri Fabre . The garden is home to various insects such as the Languedoc scorpion, Boursier... You'll discover the praying mantis, aspecies of insect belonging to the Mantidae family. Native to Africa, it has been introduced to the Mediterranean region, Asia and North America. It is part of the Polynesian collection, and is listed in the Inventaire national du patrimoine naturel. Afin d’éviter des désagréments en fin de visite, évitez de vous accroupir trop proche du sol pour observer fleurs et animaux afin de ne pas être victime d’une accusation calomnieuse et grotesque d’avoir uriné dans ce magnifique lieu.
