Diane de Poitiers at the end of her life - in 1565 - chose to settle in the family castle, that of her father, who was then Lord of the place. Of this castle, only a tower remains today adjacent to the church of Saint-Etienne. The town clock and a wrought iron bell tower can be seen there. In front of this same church, which houses a beautiful collection of gilded wooden statues from the 18th century, there is a bronze statue representing the famous entomologist Jean Henri Fabre (1823-1915) who lived in the village from 1879 until his death, in his country house called l'Harmas, which has now become a museum. The village is surrounded by vineyards
